生活方式代表了一个角色的选择，该角色选择哪一种属性将把他的时间花在磨练上。有5种生活方式可供选择，每种生活方式包含3个焦点和3个技能树。
总览
一共有五种生活方式，每种生活方式分别对应了三棵技能树。当角色成年之后，他/她可以选择一个生活方式并可以选择任何一个作为焦点，并从中获得经验。获得的经验可以从生活方式对应的技能树中得到技能，进而可以给角色带来不同的好处。
教育
虽然角色只有在长大成人后才能选择一种生活方式，但在他们的童年时期，这是可能的。根据角色所受的教育程度，他们会对某种生活方式产生亲和力。这种亲和力将在相应的生活方式中给予更多的体验增益，并根据角色的教育等级而增加特定的数量 -- 例如, 一个一级的教育特质会增加 +10% 的经验获取，而一个四级的教育特质会增加 +40% 的经验获取。
技能重置
当一个角色拥有封地时，他们就会选择一个焦点并根据他们的年龄解锁技能 - 这个角色越年老，就会解锁越多的技能。 他们会根据自己的教育特质来选择焦点并根据自己的性格和特质来选择技能。
如果想要的话, 一个玩家所控制的角色每一生可以重置所有在一个生活方式内的技能点 - 尽管这会造成大量的压力值。

一共有五种生活方式，每一种生活方式相当于一个特色技能并包含了三棵技能树。

焦点
每个生活方式包含三个焦点, 而每个焦点都会给予角色多种增益. 焦点提供的增益是立即生效的. 因此, 玩家可以选择能提供他们目前最需要增益的焦点.例如, 玩家可能会选择神学焦点如果他们需要更多的虔诚， 而在另一个情景里他们就有可能选择权威焦点来帮助稳固大量新近征服的领土。

Perk trees
Each Lifestyle has 3 perk trees, each one containing 9 perks. Perks are unlocked by spending experience and the final perk in each tree always gives a powerful trait. Both perks and 6 unique traits can be obtained through Lifestyle events.
On average a new perk is unlocked every few years.
